Chemical Peels

We offer a curated selection of chemical peels that can be customized to fit your skin rejuvenation needs. Chemical peels work by exfoliating the skin’s surface with a chemical solution, improving overall skin tone, removing skin damage, and reducing skin imperfections. We offer a variety of different chemical formulas. An individualized home care regimen is needed to accelerate and maintain the benefits of any skin treatment performed in our office. We provide a variety of cosmeceutical-grade skincare products to improve the overall results of your personalized treatment plan.

Jessner Peel

A Jessner is a modified self-neutralizing chemical peel with hydroquinone, resorcinol, lactic acid, and salicylic acid. This unique combination of agents creates a powerful medium-depth peel clinically proven to reduce visible fine lines and wrinkles and correct common skin conditions like acne, age spots, and pigmentation, giving a fresh, youthful glow to your new skin. A series of treatments is often best for optimal results.

VI Peel®

The VI Peel® is the next generation of chemical peels. It transforms your skin in as little as seven days. The VI Peel® nurtures the skin with vitamins and minerals during the exfoliation process to target stubborn pigmentation and acne scars while evening skin tone and texture. A series of treatments is best for optimal results.

Acne Treatments

Fewer skin conditions are more frustrating than acne! Almost all of us, at one time or another, have experienced red, (sometimes painful) swollen acne lesions that make us want to hide our faces.

Acne develops from blocked follicles. Sebum (oil produced by sebaceous glands), plus an overproduction of keratinized skin cells, blocks the follicle and form a plug. The naturally occurring bacteria, P.acnes, can then multiply in the blocked follicle. This causes inflammatory lesions or pimples. Acne can also be caused by hormonal activity, including stress, in addition to the blocked follicles. Usually, acne is most common in the early adolescence and teen years, but acne can strike at almost any age, including the 20s, 30s, and 40s – and sometimes even 50s.

At Laser Skin & Wellness, we use highly effective topical products that can only be purchased in a physician’s office. A product called MD Duality can keep acne under control. With consistent use of MD Duality, the quality of the skin improves each month, allowing the residual damage such as acne scars to heal and slowly disappear. We also discuss exercise, diet, and lifestyle modification strategies to address all of your skincare needs. Finally, a variety of our skin rejuvenation treatments can be beneficial for patients with acne.

Vibraderm™

Vibraderm™ works by exfoliating the skin, gently removing the outer layers of dead cells without the need for tugging, pulling, or even “sandblasting” with abrasive particles. We consider it to be an aggressive treatment – however, it is superior to microdermabrasion and most patients report that it just feels like a “vibrating facial massage”. In some cases, it may be a better option for patients with sensitive skin type or who want to treat sensitive areas.

Dermaplaning

Dermaplaning is simultaneously a new and old beauty secret! Dermaplaning is a skin rejuvenation treatment where the outer layers of the skin are exfoliated with the use of a medical blade. This simple and safe procedure exfoliates the epidermis and rids the skin of fine vellus hair (peach fuzz). It has been used for many years but has recently come back into fashion. The addition of a chemical peel takes this treatment to the next level!

Enzyme Treatments

Enzyme treatments only exfoliate dead skin cells on the top layer of the skin while leaving the rest of the surrounding skin untouched, which is a big reason why they are great for nearly all skin types. They can also be combined with Vibraderm or dermaplaning treatments to enhance the results. Enzyme treatments come with minimal downtime, making them a quick and easy way to achieve a brighter look to the skin.
