What is a Fem-Shot?

The Fem-Shot helps women who experience decreased vaginal lubrication, painful intercourse, loose vaginal tissue, and urinary incontinence, among other cosmetic reasons and concerns. Along with these physical issues, sexual dysfunction due can cause low self-esteem, which can often lead to Female Sexual Dysfunction.

To treat these and other symptoms the Fem-shot method uses platelet-rich plasma injections to help stimulate growth factors and regeneration of tissue in the vaginal region.

Who is a Candidate for the Fem-shot?

Women who wish to have more sexual satisfaction and less pain during sex, and those who have medical concerns like incontinence. As a non-surgical procedure, the Fem-shot is a great less invasive option for vaginal rejuvenation without surgery and accompanying recovery time.

How is the Fem-shot Treatment Performed?

The Fem-shot uses injections of platelet-rich plasma. This plasma is acquired from blood that is drawn from your body, typically from the arm. The blood is then spun in a centrifuge that separates platelets and plasma from the red blood cells and other components of blood. The platelets are then injected into the treatment area, where they stimulate tissue growth, collagen production, and increased blood flow.

The plasma injection contains many growth factors and proteins that activate stem cells and cellular repair. Since this also helps with collagen production, new, regenerated tissue is further aided for younger and smoother skin. The Fem-shot is done in-office with a numbing cream to minimize any pain or discomfort.

Is There Downtime?

The healing process is minimal for this vaginal rejuvenation treatment. There is no downtime associated with this treatment due to the minimal discomfort involved. Patients may experience swelling due to extra sensitivity immediately following the procedure, but otherwise the Fem-shot is a safe and effective treatment. The swelling will subside within a couple of days. Patients can resume normal activities immediately following treatment.

When Can I See Results from the Fem-shot?
