What do Laser Treatments Feel Like?

Patients report a feeling like a rubber band snapping as the laser pulses, however, local anesthesia and pain medicine are most often not needed. We do offer a topical anesthetic to patients that are treating sensitive areas, such as the bikini area or upper lip.

What Happens After the Laser Hair Removal Treatment?

Immediately following laser hair removal, the treated skin may appear red and feel tender. While your skin is healing, you should avoid sun exposure and refrain from waxing and plucking your hair. However, you are able to shave as frequently as you wish. During the next couple of days, it may seem that the hairs were unaffected. It will take approximately 2 weeks for the treated hairs to shed and fall out.
