How do facials work?

Our facials at Laser Skin and Wellness are customized to each individual patient’s needs. We will examine your skin and listen to your concerns to determine the type of facial that will work best for you and your skin type.

What areas can be treated?

Our customized facial is used specifically to treat the skin on your face, neck, and decollete. It can treat a variety of skin concerns, including

About your facial treatment

At Laser Skin and Wellness, our standard deep cleansing facial rejuvenation treatment includes a facial massage, steam, a face mask, and extractions to remove any breakouts or impurities from the face.

This whole relaxing process typically takes about 50 minutes but can take longer if you want to add on other treatments to it. You can add enzymes, Vibraderm, stem cells, chemical peels, or dermaplaning to your treatment to maximize your results.

Results & Recovery

Your skin will be particularly sensitive after a facial so you’ll want to avoid touching or picking at your skin. You’ll also want to avoid rubbing too much when washing your face and using heavy makeup or harsh skincare products. Your skin may be slightly red afterward, but that will diminish within a few hours.

As for results, you’ll see some improvements immediately after a facial but those changes will continue over the next three to five days as your skin heals and collagen and elastin build up. You’ll notice your skin is glowing and radiant and that typically sticks around for a week or more.

To maintain results, you’ll want to receive a facial every four to six weeks.

Who is a good candidate?

Almost everyone is a good candidate for a facial. As long as you’re in good overall health, have realistic expectations, and have skin concerns that can be addressed by a facial, you’re likely an ideal candidate.

The only individuals who aren’t good candidates for facials are those who are pregnant or breastfeeding. If you have severe active acne or a sunburn, you also should wait until your skin is clear to have a facial.
