Microneedling is a non-surgical skin treatment that uses a fine needles to create tiny, micro-channels in the epidermis of the skin to help produce collagen. This treatment is also called collagen induction therapy and helps to treat many different skin concerns. Laser Skin & Wellness utilizes a Microneedling Pen, which has 12 tiny needles and uses patented technology to make it an effective treatment. The pen is revolutionizing the way that microneedling is done. This technology helps patients to have a safer, more comfortable microneedling experience while getting amazing results.
Before & After
The pen uses a spring-loaded needle-tip with an automated vibrating motion, enabling a very controlled form of microneedling. The pen has an adjustable tip allowing practitioners to cater to the patient’s individual needs. The needle is made up of 12 micro-needles which allows the pen’s system to penetrate the epidermis straight on rather than at an angle like traditional microneedling tools. This causes less bleeding and quicker recovery time. The creation of these tiny wounds helps to produce collagen, which in turn help to fill in lines, wrinkles, and give an the skin overall rejuvenated appearance.

The pen can treat almost any area on the body that shows signs of aging. It is mostly used on and around the face to give patients a more youthful appearance. This microneedling pen can treat any area on the face that shows visible skin concerns. Many popular areas are around the eyes, lips, and chin.
This microneedling pen treatment is very manageable, some patients may feel some slight discomfort, but nothing unbearable. To help patients feel more comfortable and relaxed we apply a lidocaine solution before the treatment to numb the area. The pen makes small, micro-wounds in the skin which may result in very little pin-point bleeding.
“Malinda is amazing! She takes the time to hear you out and never once did I feel rushed when she was explaining treatments and answering my questions. I would highly recommend her to anyone!” — Megan
The pen treatment time varies depending on the unique needs of each patient. Typically, most patients get four to six treatments over a period of three to six months. Each session takes around 40 minutes and is spaced approximately four to five weeks apart. The treatment will be created specifically for each patient by their specialist at Laser Skin & Wellness.
The recovery time for the microneedling pen is quicker than traditional micro-needling treatments. The first couple of days following treatment patients may notice some swelling or redness, similar to a sunburn. A post-treatment topical cream will be given to help moisturize the skin. After three days patients can return to normal skin care products. It is important to avoid direct sunlight for about ten days. Be sure to also avoid any alcohol-based toners for up to two weeks as this can harm your skin during this sensitive time.
